Get your story out
Talking about yourself feels weird. Asking a client to talk about you feels even weirder.
Whether you are trying to describe your own work, or asking someone else to speak about how your work helped them, it’s easy to get stuck. You’re too close to ask the right questions. You second-guess what matters. And you forget just how much assumed context lives in your head — and in theirs.
That’s where I come in. I help artists, creative professionals, and small teams articulate the story under the surface. We talk, I ask good questions, spot patterns and join the dots — then write it up in a way that feels authentic and coherent. Sometimes that means clarifying who you are and what you’re about, sometimes it means demonstrating how your work landed for real clients. Whatever ingredients make up your story, you’ll end up with language that’s clear, grounded, and real.
What I offer:
-
Tell your story — a piece about who you are, where you’ve been, and what matters to you. Perfect for bios, websites, or intros, or just to make sense of your own arc.
-
“So, what do you do?” — a writeup about a project, service or offering. Most of us struggle to explain to other people what we actually do, but nailing that down can make a real difference to both your own confidence and how you resonate with prospective clients. I’ll uncover the themes and connections in both your work so far and the work that you want to be doing, and I’ll write a simple, clear piece, without jargon.
-
Testimonials with depth — simply introduce me to a client or collaborator, optionally give me a bit of background about what you’d like the testimonial to show, and I’ll handle the rest. I’ll talk to them, draw out the real story, and shape it into a testimonial that’s honest and specific — not generic praise or stiff marketing speak.
Who is this for?
This is ideal for creatives, makers, and small-buisiness owners who:
- struggle to talk about themselves or describe their work clearly
- cringe at self-promotion but still want to be understood
- want help with refinining their offering, services or brand story
- tend to process externally (“I don’t know what I think until I say it out loud”)
- want someone perceptive to help them see, analyse and describe the patterns
- value authenticity, nuance, and clarity over marketing-speak and hype
You already have the story. You just need the words.
Let’s find them together! If writing blurbs or testimonials feels awkward or overwhelming, book a free discovery call today.
Book a free discovery callHow it works:
-
Book a free 10-15 minute discovery call, where we’ll make sure that I’m a good fit for your needs. This will give you a risk-free, “no strings attached” opportunity to explore what I’m offering, so you can move forward with confidence.
-
We’ll arrange a time to meet for an interview session, or for testimonials I’ll contact the client on your behalf and arrange to meet them myself.
-
I’ll write up the piece and email it to you. For testimonials I also run it by your client too, to make sure it accurately captures their intent.
Pricing
Your discovery call is completely free — whether or not you decide to continue.
Pricing will depend on the size of the project, but as a guideline:
- Essentials testimonial: $350 — a short, specific testimonial that is both human and useful. Includes a 10-15 minute interview with your client and 200-300 word writeup.
- Narrative testimonial: $500 — a deeper, story-driven testimonial that showcases the impact of your work. Includes a ~30 minute client interview and a 600-700 word piece shaped like a mini case study.
- Full story deep dive: $625 — a ~1 hour 1:1 conversation where we dig into your story, values and goals. You’ll get a thoughtful 600-900 word piece that you can use for your website bio, services page, creative profile or artist statement.
I don’t do “gotcha” pricing — you’ll get a fixed price after your discovery call.
